Tanya Beatty, RN, CLCP, CNCLP, CRN(C)

REGISTERED NURSE AND CERTIFIED LIFE CARE PLANNER

Tanya is an experienced Registered Nurse and a member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario. Since 1991, she has worked as a nurse case manager. In this role, she is responsible for the delivery of case management services for adults and children who sustained catastrophic injuries, such as spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury or multiple trauma as a result of motor vehicle collisions, accident, or illness. This includes the coordination and supervision of multi disciplinary health care teams, medical management, and development of rehabilitation plans to assist individuals to maximize their functioning. In 2012, Tanya obtained specialty certification as a Certified Rehabilitation Nurse. By obtaining this designation, she has achieved a national standard of professional competence in Rehabilitation Nursing.

In 2002, Tanya passed the certification examination in Life Care Planning through the University of Florida in partnership with Intelicus. She has been a Certified Life Care Planner through the Commission on Health Care Certification in the United States for the past 19 years. In 2011, she became a Certified Nurse Life Care Planner through the American Association of Nurse Life Care Planners. Tanya has completed almost 400 Life Care Plans for individuals who have sustained serious injury.

Tanya has been accepted as an Expert Witness in Life Care Planning in the Supreme Court of British Columbia, and as an Expert Witness as a Registered Rehabilitation Nurse and Life Care Planner with specific expertise in acquired brain injury in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.

As an Associate since 2005, Tanya’s extensive life care planning and rehabilitation consultation experience and in-depth knowledge of the insurance legislation and community resources make her a highly valued and respected member of our team of professionals.
